During the development of the new CSM loudspeakers for Mercedes-Benz vehicles, a significant improvement in sound quality and higher power handling compared to the original systems were also key priorities. Super-lightweight fiberglass diaphragms and efficient neodymium magnet drives ensure high-performance sound even with low amplifier power in the CSM models. The 10 cm loudspeakers, on the other hand, are equipped with substantial 30 mm CCAW voice coils, which also contribute to a superb listening experience. The 25 mm titanium tweeter CSM1T (also included in the CSM4.2C) with neodymium magnet drive impresses with a linear frequency response extending beyond 20 kHz and crystal-clear highs.
